Re: Fetal HiccupsFrom: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 10 Feb 1998 00:02:29 -0600 (CST)
My daughter got in utero hiccups repeatedly, every day, for months. Drove me nutso. Especially since she'd get them every time I ate (which was often) - and after she was born, every time *she* ate (which was also often). Fortunately for her, this doesn't happen much anymore, because she hates them so very much. The first time I felt her having hiccups and mentioned it to my husband (this was in bed, the only place at first I could feel such tiny, rhythmic movements), his quizzical voice in the dark said "Can they *do* that?" We got a good laugh. At any rate, Mary, you're not the only one to have that happen, and it didn't hurt my girl any. Now if only there was a way to not have it drive you nutso. ;)
