For the cost of a $10 bill you can settle your mind *and* your questions. If it comes up positive, you'll know so you can be under prenatal care as soon as possible. And you'll be happy!

And if it comes up negative, you might consider going to the doctor for a checkup anyway, because what if you weren't pregnant but had some kind of low-grade infection? You might not be happy, but you could get treatment as soon as possible. Or the doctor could reassure you that it's just weirdness, and not to worry.

I suspect the answer to "do I have any reason to hope?" is this: "anything *can* happen". But rather than get your hopes up and perhaps be disappointed, you might view your purchase of an EPT like this: "I'll rule out pregnancy as the cause of this weirdness, and if it's something else, I'll get it taken care of."

Let us know the outcome?
