The pain started after I missed a period (the first time ever when I was not pregnant) and has continued since then. I have had one normal period during this period and may be on the verge of missing another (it is due about now and I have none of my normal pre-period symptoms.) I have been to my internist who did some blood work (all came back normal) and a sigmodoscopy, which showed absolutely no problems. Yesterday I had a conization for recurrent abnormal pap smears (not as a treatment, but as a diagnostic tool). My gyn. did an internal pelvic and found my uterus was enlarged and said I had a fibroid tumor. After my four week post-cone check-up, he will do an ultra-sound to check out the fibroid. My question - I have read the postings in this forum and several articles, but none talk about the kind of pain or tenderness I have been experiencing. (These are my only symptoms).
