Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: moval of cervix during hysterectomy" I am to have a hysterectomy in a week and my doctor said he would also take out the cervix to prevent future possibility of cancer. My problem is grosly large fibroid of the uterus that are causing me many problems. How would this affect the cervix and should I let them take it out at the same time?
