HYSTERECTOMYFrom: DEBBIE (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 Jan 1998 00:41:35 -0600 (CST)
I'm 32 years old, I've just had a hysterectomy 3 months ago, it was for severe pain during intercouse, the main reason the doctor did the surgery was that the vein that supplies blood to the uterus was streched and inflamed and the nerves sorrounding the uterus too.I never had endo either. My question is it's been 3 months since the surgery and I'm still having the same type of pain but not in the pelvic area, it seems to haved moved a little higher in the abdominal area, I don't get day to day pain anymore, thats cured, but during and after intercourse can be so severe that it feels like someones cutting me with a knife, I thought that all the pain would go away after i healed from my sugery, (the sugery was done by vaginal and my ovaries are still intact) could it be that maybe that the distance from the opening, to the abdominal walls is not long enough for my husband to accomodate, I never had this problem before my second child. could there be something else wrong that maybe my doctor doesn't know, I'll be seeing my doctor next week to let him know whats going on, I just hope he can find a solution or you know of one that he may not know of, I'm just tired of being in pain all of the time, I love my husband more than life itself but a person can only edure so much pain.
