This number is not available because to get it, you'd have to reoperate on everyone to determine it. I get the feeling that this would not go over very well.

Depends upon the type of surgery, infected vs. clean case, history of previous surgery, etc.

There are such items already being marketed and they have studies showing their efficacy. It would be worth your while to contact the competitors for their data.
