Jean , I'm hardly a seasoned pro being one week out from
lavh/bso and feeling at least 90%. The good thing is I can
now sleep on my stomach which I haven't done for a long
time. Also, I think I have fewer hot flashes than while on
lupron for 3 months. I feel great mentally and am anxious
to get into an exercise program. I couldn't agree more about this site as I educated myself with info. from many and my doc's office. I went into surgery knowing what was
going to happen and based on reading the posts I also knew what would be happening when I awoke. Things like
those jazzy inflatable stockings on the legs were a real charge. I felt like I was wearing tires! No kidding - I
believe that overcoming fear of the unknown through
education and having a positive attitude made all the
difference.
