abnormally long mensusFrom: Melanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 18 Jan 1998 08:42:18 -0600 (CST)
I am 22 years old and have been told I do not ovulate properly. I am not on any form of birth control and have very irregular periods. I have now been having a period for five weeks and recently it has become very heavy. This happened once before and they ended up having to do a D&C (the doctor assumed I was miscarrying but it was concluded that I wasn't). Do you have any suggestions for stopping the bleeding or do you know a reason why this would happen? I am living in Japan so I haven't seen a doctor yet and am hoping to avoid it. Do you think this has a chance of stopping on its own? I would love to hear of any one else with a similar problem--so far I feel like I am the only one in the world! Thanks for caring!
