Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Pelvic Pain, Badder and Elavil" I went to see a urologist and he put me on Elavil 25 mg at bedtime for a few weeks to see if I have Interstitial Cystitis. He also thinks the pain may be caused by a muscle spasms in my Pelvic Floor muscles or in my right ligament. Is this a common source of pelvic pain? More importantly, I have heard that Elaivil can cause breast enlargement and weight gain. Can this happen on such a low dose?
