Adenomyosis, Endo, and uterine prolapseFrom: Dot (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 14 Jan 1998 01:06:58 -0600 (CST)
I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis, endometriosis (mild), and uterine prolapse. I have been experiencing pain almost constantly for about a month. Pain during and after intercourse, feeling as though my insides are falling out, and just a general, dull ache across my lower abdomen. My question is, with all these problems, is there really any other alternative treatments besides hysterectomy? I am 39 and have one child (11), have had no form of birth control since 1983, and have pretty much given up hope of having more children. Should I just give up and have the hysterectomy before I fall apart completely? I want to tell you all how great this forum is...I have been searching the web for something like this for weeks, and I really appreciate input any one can give me.
