Re: What are side effects of prog. suppositories?

I used 100 mg progesterone nightly. I don't normally have PMS, but I noticed more symptoms that might have been attributed to PMS in someone who does experience it. Also my skin was much more oily (not exactly attractive when I was supposed to be having a lot of sex to get pregnant!) I, too, noticed that it lengthened my cycle. In fact, the final cycle that I took it before getting pregnant, it added 6 days to my cycle. I'd been having 26 day cycles for several months, but that last cycle was 32 days. My "normal" cycle without hormonal intervention is 31 days. I'm not sure that this could be called "proof" that it worked for me, but it is a strong selling point! Another side effect that I've heard, but can't comment on is that the progesterone makes you sleepy. I was taking it at night, so I can't say.At Sun, 11 Jan 1998, Ellen wrote: >
