I have taken them up to 8 hours apart and still have had major problems! Turns out I had to take 4x my throid meds to keep it at the level needed. I take Armour thyroid. It really depends on the amount of iron you are taking. Be sure to have your TSH, t3 uptake, T3, and T4 and RIA checked about 6 weeks after starting the iron. On the other hand I can take Centrum vit, gyn recommended-10 hours apart and do fine.
