Unfortunately, no good way I'm aware of. I guess the best (but not 100% effective) way is to refrain while active lesions are seen. It has been shown, however, that "HPV is infectious without obvious lesions, so that's why it's not perfect.

Almost always genitals but oral transmission is possible.
