Re: (Continuation of) Can Anyone Help, Pls?From: Barbara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 9 Jan 1998 07:56:43 -0600 (CST)
Hi Kimberly, I just wanted to explain what Dr. Marchbein ment in the first part of his post. No, you did not do anything wrong by receiving two answers! You got lucky that your question was of interest to both of them and you received two answers for the price of one! :) Dr. Shannahan, thinks you need to see a specialist or perhaps go to a University that has as ob/gyn teaching dept. This is the place to go with conditions that are "diferent", as that way you get many new people working on your case with many new thoughts and ideas about treatments. It is usually where "cutting edge", (excuse the pun), up to the minute medical treatments are. Kimberly you would be under the care of the Cheif of the Dept. with many other (alredy) doctors that are learning about gyn conditions. Why not check into it? Hope this helps you feel better. Read Dr. John Robertson's answer from Canada about referall to a University Teaching Hospital as it will give you some insight into how to go about getting an appointment. Barbara
