Hi everyone, yes it is me again! Just wanted to pass along a little personal insight.... I just had my 2nd follow up visit since my TAH, it has been 4 weeks and 5 days. My Doctor thinks I am some type of Super Woman!! She gave me a totally clean bill of health, I am able to do whatever I choose, including exercise and yes, even sex! I just want to say that even though I know all women will not have the results I have had, that for some of us a hysterectomy comes as a God sent. I must urge anyone who is in generally good health prior to a hysterectomy to keep a positive outlook. Alot of times the fears we have can seem to consume us, but if you put those aside (after talking with your Doctor)and concentrate on the final outcome (no more pain, swelling or bleeding) the results are wonderful. Another big plus in the healing process is to remember to get out of that bed after the surgery and WALK!! Yes, I was up and about the day of my surgery. It was very hard to do, but I will say that it helped me enormously. So for now, this will be my last posting to this sight, hopefully I will not need anymore advise, but if I should, I will be back.
