If you have the polyp removed, it is likely that your annoying mid-cycle bleeding will stop. If the polyp is removed it can be sent to the lab to make sure it is benign -- although the overwhelming majority are.
Con: it takes a surgical procedure to remove the polyp. You could
develop other polyps in the future -- they may not cause any problems,
however.
