On average, ovulation occurs 14 days BEFORE you get your next period....so, in a 30 day cycle you're likely ovulating around day 15/16 and in a 26 day cycle around day 12/13.

How many >hours/days do I stay fertile?

The "fertile window" is the 5 days BEFORE ovulation and the day OF ovulation. The most fertile day is the day of ovualtion, followed by the day before, then 2 days before and so on.

I experience pain when I am ovulating and >I had severe pain on Dec. 26 at around 2:00 a.m.. (I thought that my

Less lilkely, since it was 6 days before ovulation, but sperm, like men, are sometimes tricky ;-)

How long does sperm stay >alive?

We used to think 3 days, but now we think it's more like 5 days.
