I experienced very irregular cycles, slight acne problems, and 10 lbs of weight gain. I had the norplant removed after three years. Removing it caused a lot of pain. Two of my friends, who I knew were trying to get pregnant, had miscarriages on their first try. I cannot conclude that the miscarriages were caused by the norplant, but it seemed to be too coincidental. In response to the recall, I did not know that it was recalled.
