endometrial polypsFrom: K (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Dec 1997 12:14:42 -0600 (CST)
After an endometrial biopsy and sonogram, it was determined that my mid-cycle bleeding is caused by a polyp. (An ovarian cyst on the first sonogram was gone by the second.) The bleeding, though annoying, is generally light. What are the pros and cons of doing nothing, rather than having the polyp removed during hysteroscopy? I was under the impression that this was a minor procedure until I heard that general anathesia was used - which I've never had. I'm thinking of waiting until (and if) the bleeding gets worse. It's been on and off for 2 years. Thank you - I've just found this forum - it's a wonderful resource. Kathy
