My mom is 87yrs young and has been wearing a pessary for 5yrs. She has been having more and more discomfort and need the pessary removed sometimes every week or so. How do we go about finding MD's in the NY metro area who specialize in patients who require either surgery for this condition (rectovaginal prolapse- status post hysterectomy or treat patients with pessary insertion. How do we find the different types of pessaries that are currently available? Please help, we are at our wits end.
