Haven't been there...need info!

Need to know what comes next in this infertility challenge! I know that this will seem silly to those of you who have had years of trouble but I am just starting out and am totally ignorant of what to expect. Here's some history...

I am 34 and was previously married and had 4 children. I was one of the lucky ones who could pick *the* month and get pregnant *that* month. My youngest child is almost 4. I have since divorced and have a new hubby and we are trying to have a baby together. He has 3 children from a previous marriage...youngest is 8. In the interim I was diagnosed with "mild" endometriosis in Oct. of 95. I had an IUD for a year and suffered from several uterine infections during that time. Then I had it removed and went on Micronor pills, which I understand are not too effective by themselves. I went off the pills in July and started trying to get pregnant. I started Clomid 50mg and am on my second cycle of Clomid along with doing my charts.

Last month my chart started with temps 97.8-97.9 with a slight drop to 97.6 followed by an increase to 98.2 on day 9 of my cycle. I had mittleschmirtz (sp?) pain which I used to have but haven't had in about a year. Cervical mucous changes were also present. Wasn't sure if that was enough of a drop/spike to mean anything. My temps have been 98.3-98.9 ever since. I usually run 97-98 range. My period came 2 days late and was very heavy with lots of cramping for 2 days and then a day of slight bleeding and 2 days of spotting.

My doc wants to see me back if no luck after 3 months on the Clomid and I am just wondering what comes next. He mentioned endometrial biopsy and other "hurty" things. I think we both thought the Clomid would do the trick right away so I didn't ask many questions. Now I'm getting curious about what comes next if this doesn't work.

I was under a lot of stress but quit my job a couple of weeks ago and am a new woman ever since! I don't even feel the desparation about getting pregnant that I did earlier on. I have a history of hypothyroidism and take Synthroid 0.1mg/day which has kept things stable since 1988, although I have it tested regularly. I have always been a very healthy person and always had uncomplicated pregnancies. I am a DES daughter and have a family history of ovarian cancer, but PAPs and pelvic ultrasounds have always been normal.

For those of you who have been there or any docs that can tell me what to expect...clue me in! Thanks in advance for any info! I am definitely challenged in this area!
