Re: Anne, Dr. MarchbeinFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 19 Dec 1997 21:17:40 -0600 (CST)
Hey there, Can't remember if it was in the book or on the forum that it was suggested you chart anyway. Sometimes things show up when you day to day chart that are not really apparent over the course of a month. Temps ( I think) can reveal if you are prego, anovulatory etc.Another thing is you are going to ovulate before you have a true period: you should be able to tell from there when you do and how long your luteal phase is. This may reveal other problems. Also the cervical mucus thing told me when I really was fertile. So I would chart and see if it looks like the cycles in the book or if it looks funny. Student health services???? Sounds like it... If you have student/faculty insurance, a lot of times it will pay for more if you get a referral to an outside DR for treatment. Just tell them at the clinic you really want a work up or a referral. Referrals can help a lot. Somebody told me the best way to find a good OB is to go to the local Hospital and ask the OB ward Nurses who THEY GO TO! Not who they refer but who they ACTUALLY go to. Hope this helps again.
