Post-surgery and Premarin questionsFrom: anneminke (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 17 Dec 1997 13:09:08 -0600 (CST)
Last Friday Dec. 12 I had Hysteroscopic/Laparoscopic surgery to have a uterine septum removed. An IUD was placed at the same time (which will be removed end of January) and from Saturday on untill the end of January I am put on Premarin 1,25 twice a day, partly in combination with Primolut. After surgery I had just a little spotting, but since yesterday I have more serious bloodloss, a little as if I were menstruating. I feel really bad (nauseous) until late in the afternoon and my stomach feels like as if I am menstruating. Surgery was on day 19 of my cycle and under normal circumstances menstruation should start around tomorrow. Is this all normal, or should I go and try to reach the gyn at the hospital? I really don't have any idea how I should feel or what should happen when taking Premarin. Thanks for any advice!
