14 weeks pregnant, spotting and heartbeat questionFrom: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 17 Dec 1997 09:22:52 -0600 (CST)
I had a little scare yesterday, I woke up to some light brown spotting. I have had 3 miscarriages, so any spotting sends me over the edge. I went into the DR.s office, and baby was fine, measuring correct in size. A couple of things concerned me though. The heartrate was only 136 bpm, when last week it was 160 bpm. I know this is probably a normal fluctuation, but wanted to double check on my own thoughts. Dr. didn't say anything about it, and I was too relieved at the time to think to ask. They did find a cervical polyp, which my Dr. said had "probably" caused the bleeding, although he did not see any blood. I had been very constipated over the weekend and think maybe trying to strain to go, had caused the polyp to bleed. What do you think? Also had an ultrasound done, and there was no previa or apparant bleed sights in the uterus. (very good news) I appreciate any thoughts! Thankyou, Teresa
