Hi Dr. Kline. I know that they said they heard the fetal heartbeat but
I am unsure if they saw it. They were actually sitting there taking my
pulse and checking it against the ultrasound machine! I think they did
see it but Im not sure. My doctor tried for about 5 minutes today to
find the heartbeat. All he could get was the heartbeat from the
Placenta (afterbirth). He said the placenta might be on the front of
the uterus and thats why we are having a hard time hearing the baby, but
he said he thought he heard the baby for a second. With all that has
gone on I am devestated by this. I've done nothing but cry since I was
in his office. He knew I was very upset but basically told me not to
worry and that they dont like to do too many ultrasounds so my next one
will be at 16 weeks. Im really frightend.
