38 weeks, measuring 42... any potential problems??

At my most recent appointments, I've been... overwhelmed by a rapid growth spurt in my fundal height.

At 34 weeks, and every week prior to that, I neasured exactly, on the nose, the "correct" number of centimeters. Suddenly, at 36 weeks, I measured 37. At 37 weeks, 39. At 38 weeks (last Friday), 42.

My first child weighed 9 lbs, 3 oz, but I measured right at the week marks with her (never more or less).

I have lost 10 lbs. with this pregnancy, as I did with my daughter.

Does this say anything about the size of the baby? Or about when I will deliver?

My fluid levels, etc., are, by the way, fine.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Teresa
