Acne ProblemsFrom: Julian (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 3 Dec 1997 22:21:42 -0600 (CST)
Dear Sir or Madame, I'm fiveteen years old and have had break-outs in my T-zone(Nose, forehead and chin.) I wash my face in the morning and at night and I apply Nivea before I go to bed. My doctor prescribed a Stievamycin gel (mild). She told me I would break-out even more when I first started this ointment, to get rid of the acne and bring on clearer skin. She also mentioned an antibiotic with this gel so it won't break-out. When I went to pick up the gel at the local pharmacy, the pharmacist told me I wouldn't break-out. The antibiotic he subscribed was Minocin( I think I spelled that correctly). He said I can't take any Dairy products within 2 hours of taking the pill twice a day. Do you prescribe anything that would help my acne or should I take the antibiotics or should I just take the gel???? P.S. I've tried, Clean and Clear cream, clearisal, Noxema and many other Acne soaps and face washes, nothing helped.
