Re: ; Essential Hypertension: Attn Dr Marchbein!From: Tammy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Nov 1997 21:12:50 -0600 (CST)
Thanks again for your prompt responce... There is no perinatologist on staff where we live, but I have consulted with one before and my ob called him that evening..he recommened the Procardia to get it in the normal 80-90 range and another ultrasound to compare to the one at 18 weeks. I believe my ob prior to consulting was planning over night monitoring, then transfering to a larger hosp if it did not go down for what I am thinking was to have the baby taken. My bp has been up a couple times and gone down both at home and in the office usually at the next visit and always when it is retaken it gets higher. This is the first time the idea of serial checks was done. Almost positive dates are correct as the u/s at 10 & 18 weeks were both right on target, plus I am very regular and even know the date of conception:) Again thank you it is reassuring to get a fresh perspective...btw what are you doing online Thanksgiving Day!
