That's a little high to begin with (marginal HTN (hypertension)). The cut-off is usually accepted as 140/90 but many factors may lower or raise that (including what someone starts out with). An increase of 30 systolic or 15 disatolic is another criteria.

I'd certainly have some concern about now.

Appropriate.

Remember we spoke about labile HTN?

Hmmmmm. Tough call.

Either you dates are wrong (I'm not saying they are. This is just for argument's sake) or this is a good sized kid.

The important concept here is *YET*. It may or may not affect things. Usually, marked elevations over a significant period of time cause intrauterine growth reduction.

As above, that is a little high unless you're overweight and they're using the wrong size BP cuff.

Tht's getting a little too low for me. With chronic hypertensives (if you even are) 140/90 is an OK place to be.

>Guess my questions are: does this all sound like a normal scenrio?

Now we'll have to define normal. I've given you a good picture of normal in the answers above.

Dunno.

Shouldn't be a problem to either of you.

Numbers vary depending upon the person. My wife's BP is normally much lower than mine. If I had her BP, I'd be in trouble and if she had mine, she'd be in trouble.

What does the perinatologist at the hospital say?

You too!
