Hi Joanne,

I was diagnosed w/HPV when I was 17. I never had any symptoms of it except one abnormal Pap. Plus, I also did not sleep around. (2 people in my whole life, including my hubby). Now, 4 years later, I've had numerous Paps, including the birth of my son, and have not had one single abnormal Pap. I asked a NP about this at my last Pap and she said that according to her records (she had all of them except the one from Planned Parenthood that said I had HPV), I never tested positive for HPV nor any other kind of STD, problems, etc. She thinks I could have been misdiagnosed. So, I would say wait and see how things turn out. You never know....your doctor could be wrong. Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. I got lucky and I will pray that you do too!

Best of luck to you, Laura
