I got rechecked in October to see why I wasn't healing. The doctor saw a tear around the opening to my vagina and a wart on the opposite side. We treated the wart with acid, I abstained from sex and yet the tear was not healing and the wart stayed. I finally determined I wanted the wart "frozen" off and my doctor did a biopsy on the tissue near the tear that was red and incredibly tender (it bled when she touched with a cotton swab). Her theory was the tissue was being affected by HPV but no warts were present. The colposcopy couldn't confirm HPV, nor did the biopsy, although it suggested it may be a cause for the abnormal tissue. I can't find any literature on HPV affecting tissue the way mine is nor has my doctor seen this kind of reaction without warts. She's recommending Aldera to treat the sore tissue or else doing laser surgery, even though there are no more warts. I just want to have painfree sex again with my partner. What could this be? What treatments are available?

---------------- You`re mistaking about colposcopy. What you describe seem to be vaginal ---------------- warts. colposcopy only describes cervix lesions, and happylly, you have no

lesion there. But if the wart still remains, and the biopsy on it negative,
Laser could be a good option. Maybe it would be usefull for you to take an
other advice with another doctor which can see the lesion. Telematic
diagnosis are not the best ones.
