D&C ResultsFrom: AnnaMarie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 25 Nov 1997 07:37:44 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I finally received a copy of my lab report from the D&C I had a week ago for very heavy bleeding. My doc would only tell me that it is "fine" and I could see her in a month. (By that time, I will probably be bleeding again!) The diagnosis is "Proliferative endometrium and stromal pseudodecidualizaton consistent with hormonal effect, frangments of endocervical and ectocervical mucosa, uterine curetting." That is the entire diagnosis on the pathology report, and I can only assume it means there was no hyperplasia and basically no reason for my heavy bleeding. In the case of no hyperplasia or even no polyps, what would be causing the hemorraging? Is it possible it is only a hormonal imbalance? Any suggestions on what intelligent questions I should be asking my doc next month? Thanks, AnnaMarie
