9 weeks pg., Hormone Question.From: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 14 Nov 1997 18:43:16 -0600 (CST)
Hi, it's me again. I am currantly 9 weeks pregnant, just saw a beautiful ultrasound today that tells me every thing is good with baby. I got my blood levels back, and am concerned, but not scared. My HCG level is starting to drop they say, which they also say is normal for around this time in my pregnancy. I am now on progesterone injections, and got a really high count back on Monday-94. Today it came back at 68. They said the drop is probably due to the corpus luteum shrinking more rapidly now, and the placenta starting to take over. I guess I am just looking for a second opinion. I have had several miscarriages. Had a progesterone drop at 10 weeks with one of them, and they told me the same story, "that sometimes this happens at this time". And it did not work out. Also just wanted to double check on the HCG info. Thanks for your response, Warmly, Teresa
