A vaginal sonogram can be done to evaluate the lining of the uterus. In addition, a D&C can be done under local anesthesia to dilate the cervix and have a hysteroscopy prior to the D&C ato determine if a directed biopsy is necessary. A hysterectomy is not yet indicated.
