If that is the case, it would present less ovulations per year for the possibility of fertilization. On the other hand, if sperm count is high and active and the eggs are excellent, it only takes once. If you are ready to get pregnant, stop using contraception and if you don't conceive in 6-12 months, see your OB-GYN for help. If one has 100 normal couples using no contraception for one year, 85% of them will become pregnant during that one year. By the end of two years 95% of them will have achieved a pregnancy.
