Re: Laproscopic/Vag. Hyst. with Poss. Adenomyosis versus Abdominal Hyst????From: Amber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Nov 1997 17:52:46 -0600 (CST)
Hi Donna, My name is Amber & I posted a question on this board yesterday, asking for answers to a partial hysterectomy. I am scheduled on Dec 3rd to have a Lap/Vag hysterectomy. I am also 31 years old. Until I recently had my 2nd Laproscopy I had no idea what adenomyosis was, I still am confused about this, all I know is that I also swell so big I look like I am about 5 months pregnant & the pain gets unbearable. Over the past 9 years I have had a lot of problems ranging from pre-cancer on my cervix to massive scar tissue. After 9 years of suffering, I am finally putting my foot down, I am tired of hurting all the time and it seems as though all the medicine in the world won't help, soooooo I will have my hysterectomy & from what I hear, the Lap/Vag procedure is much better in ref to the recovery period & the pain. I wish you all the luck in the world. Just thought you would like ot know that you are not the only one out there going through the same thing. Amber
