It feels vascular in origin. I have had two blood clots, one in each lower leg this past summer following liposuction of the thighs. Two months ago I underwent abdominal surgery (hysterectomy, Burch, and a&p repairs). I have recently noticed the beginnings of spider and vericose veins. I'm 34 y/o. Question: What is the primary cause of vericose veins? What can a person who has just begun to notice them do to prevent them .... or at least slow their seeming inevitability? Can undergoing abdominal surgery bring them on earlier?
