Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: ovarian cyst and ultrasound" I was wondering what is the normal time span to wait to have an ultrasound done once an ovarian cyst is found? I went in for a check up this past Friday for endomitritis and my doctor found a cyst. I haven't had any pain from this but he wants to waiit two weeks before I have the US. I don't want to wait that long but they will not let me schedule one earlier. I know someone who was told her cyst was most likely functional and they were waiting two weeks for the US and in that time the cyst ruptured and caused an infestion in which she had to have a hysterectomy.
