Dear Sir: I am hoping you can respond to my inquiry.

I have been diagnosed with the vaginal bacteria - gardnerella. I have had this for 9 months and unable to get rid of it. I have take a variety of anit-biotics for this problem, prescribed by the doctors here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. In reading the internet information, I have just realized that an anti-biotic is not necessessarily the way to treat this problem. Can you suggest a medication to get rid of this annoying problem. Any medication or remedy can be bought over the counter here without a prescription - if I have the correct name. I am not pregnant. I am a woman of 47 yrs old and not sexually active, but do live in a hot and humid climate. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thank you Sharon George at smg@pvnet.com.mx
