Hi,

You can get a period without ovulating. It's called an anovultory period.

6.2 progesterone is either assocaited with no ovulation or a poor ovulation which is incapable of producing sufficient progesterone to maintain a pregnancy. In this instance, people take supplemental progesterone.

The cyst of ovulation (corpus luteum cyst) should be produced whenever you ovulate. Other snall cysts are frequently formed, but large ones that can cause problems are rare.
