It sure sounds like you have had problems that you and your doctor have
approached in a stepwise, logical fashion, and ya'll have come up with
the appropriate option for you.
I assume you plan to leave your ovaries in, which is reasonable
(depending on your age and of course your wishes). If you have
recurrent pain after the hysterectomy (Heaven forbid!), you could have
the ovaries removed later, likely laparoscopically. While the thought
of another surgery isn't appealing, I would rather err on the side of
caution and leave your ovaries in, depending on your age and desire.
