Julie Davis > jules12@webtv.net Hi Julie, I've been through alot of the same thing. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis last Oct'96 with all the same symptoms, pain and bleeding, but also severe constipation (I live on Senekot) from my uterus lying on my colon. My doctor thought all I needed was a uterine suspention, but when he performed the lap, he discovered the adenomyosis, therefore he did nothing. He put me on progesterone only birth control pills and it seems to get better, then worse - ups and downs! I'm only 29 and have one child but would really like to have another. I've never heard of any cases where someone had a baby while having major adenomyosis and if there are any problems. My doctor says it's risky the longer I wait and hysterectomy is the only answer. From what I've seen in this forum, women with this seem to go down the same path with treatments and ultimately opt for the hysterectomy. It's hard to hear no success stories unless you have surgery, but if I didn't want one more baby, I would do the same. Life is too short to live in pain when at least there is a solution. Good luck to you and keep us posted after the surgery.
