Re: Surgery on Thursday (LEEP) and possible pregnancy

It is unlikely, but not impossible, that you're pregnant. You need to call your doctor's office tomorrow, and see if your doctor wishes to have you get a sensitive blood pregnancy test, known as a Quantitative HCG or Beta HCG, prior to your LEEP. Please realize that this test might not be positive for up to 10 days *after* conception, and since you've been on the pill, there really isn't any way to pinpoint a conception date. Furthermore, your doctor may suggest that the surgery be postponed until the issue is resolved.

It would be preferable not to have a LEEP if pregnant, unless it is absolutely needed and that it is known that you are pregnant.

Good luck
