Endometriosis and Oral Contraceptives

I am currently on Depo Provera injections for suppression of endometriosis. I would like to switch to an oral contraceptive called Micronor, but my doctor says that it is not as effective as the Depo Provera for contraception or the suppression of endometriosis. I am not as concerned with the contraceptive part of it as I am the suppression of the endometriosis. Has anyone used Micronor in the treatment of their endometriosis and if so, did it keep the endometriosis in remission? Thank you.
