Flaming, Preaching, Call it what you like...From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Oct 1997 14:53:12 -0600 (CST)
Hello, Having been a DIE-HARD reader and participant patient here on the forum since February I have noticed that more than once there have been posts preaching and flaming other forum participants. It is sickening. Although I heartily believe in the kind words and prayers that are given to those with difficulties(I myself have given them at times), it is infuriating to see people from a strictly Christian background preach to others of whom they know not their religious affiliation. We must remember there are many, many women from all over the world reading our forum. Many women from a multitude of religious backgrounds and ethnicities seek MEDICAL advice from our wonderful doctors. Let us not assume they all need a Christian internet cleansing. The Forum is here to provide MEDICAL advice and female comradery. Let's keep it that way. I personally feel touched when someone says their prayers are with someone else, however I do not necessarily ASSUME that the prayers are Christian. I am just glad they are there unconditionally and without a sermon. Sorry if this was a little steamy...but I meant every word of it.
