Bartholin Gland Problem

I would appreciate any and all advice on the following:

I am a 34yr. F. who has two children (3 1/2yr. and 1 yr.- both sucessfully delivered vaginally) and recently seen my Ob/Gyn for pain in the Bartholin gland. He punctured it with a needle to drain what he believed was a Bartholin cyst and out came "old blood" (his words). The Ob/Gyn then told me it was a "blood clot" and put me on antibotics for a week. A week later I went back and the Ob/Gyn told me it was still there and that if it isn't gone in two weeks I will need to have surgery to get it out. It has now been a week later and I received a call from my Ob/Gyn and he told me that there is a chance that the "lump" (his word) could be cancer and that I may need a biopsy. I have one more week until I go back and see if I need surgery. I really need to find out if this is a Bartholin cyst, a blood clot, or a cancerous lump. Please someone tell me if you can get blood instead of pus from a Bartholin Cyst. I cannot seem to find any information on blood clots in the Bartholin gland. I really need some expert advice on this. Please e-mail me at ASbluebird@aol.com
