Hormonal RingFrom: T. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 Oct 1997 02:56:06 PDT
I have been placed on a trial of a new hormonal ring to help combat atrophy of the vagina following a TAH/BSO 1/97. Since the hyst I have been frustrated with the changes that I have been having. I am currently taking .625 Premarin b.i.d. I have been experiencing dyspareunia from 12 weeks post op until current. My history prior to the surgery was longstanding stage IV endometriosis with prior treatment of two standard cycles of Lupron over a 3 year course. My age is 38 and no pregnancies. Even with the dose of premarin I am still having many heat flashes and night sweats. I have worn the ring for one week and still have vaginal symptoms. Is there anything else I should be trying? I have included many more soy based products in my diet as well as walking 3 miles every other day. Thanks for any input. Gels
