Right Ovarian Cyst Pain...& conceptionFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 11 Oct 1997 23:31:47 -0500 (CDT)
I have had lower right pain since March. I had a pap done in May and doctor said she couldn't feel any cysts, so she issued a pelvic and ab sonogram. The pelvic sono detected two simple cysts on right ovary, one a little larger than the other. I was in quite a bit of pain so she referred me to my internist to see if it was a hernia, he then referred me to a surgeon who issued a CAT Scan. The scan showed cysts on my left and right ovaries (right cyst slightly larger than the others). The surgeon also noted some leakage from this cyst into the tube and a little inflammation in the area of the tube. Doctor said this is probably why I am having moderate pain. My question, is this serious? The leakage and inflammation part? I have had this pain off and on (more on than off) for 8 mths now. I have seen 2 ob-gyns and a surgeon who tell me this shouldn't prevent pregnancy. Is this true???? I have been trying to get pregnt. for 5 mths now. My doctor described the leakage as " battery acid", so that didn't sound reassuring for conception. I would appreciate any info on this matter! Thanks.
