Concerning your post about irritable bowel and renal hypertension. I work for an OB/gyn doctor as an RDMS. When patients present questions such as these a referral to a more qualified physician is made. The questions concerning bowel and renal hypertension are much easier answered by a gastroenterologist for the irritable bowel and the renal hypertension may be best reviewed with an internal medicine physician. Obstetrics and gynecology occasionally will find a patient presenting with irritable bowel of which the general diet is reviewed and possibly a mild bowel relaxer is prescribed, BUT if it is beyond that realm the gyn does not have all the recent formal education concerning new procedures or medications. This is why I think you have not received an answer, the docs may have felt it was not ob/gyn related
