Could I tell >if my cervix was changing at all from these cervix pains? I'm not a doctor, but I thought I'd let you know about my personal experience. During my childbirth classes, the instructor kept talking about Braxton Hicks contractions, which I swore I wasn't having. The only thing I felt was a sharp pulling feeling, which I joked about, saying the baby was swinging around on my ureter. When I went in for a stress test, the contraction monitor showed those pains to be contractions. Maybe the pain you're feeling is your cervix ripening. The heaviness in your pelvic area may be from the baby "dropping". I know sometimes I felt like my baby was going to fall out. Too bad it took much more work than that to get him out!!! Good luck with your delivery! Melissa in KY.
